  Mazda tops customer satisfaction

Mazda tops customer satisfaction and re-launches approved used cars.

Approved used Mazda’s re-launch.

The increasing acceptability by consumers of online car buying is one of the criteria behind Mazda re-branding its used car programme across its franchise dealer network

The previous Mazda new car scheme was known as ‘zoom zoom’ was very successful for Mazda and has been re-branded and re-launched along side the new web technology.
The new web-technology enables used vehicle availability to be accessed by would be buyers via mobile phones including iphones, as well as online

Michael Stewart, fleet and used car marketing manager for Mazda Uk said :
‘ for many people, mobile phones and iphones provide access to websites so it is equally vital that our stock of used cars in accessible from such hand-held devices and customers can liaise directly with dealers’

As mazdas are known for the reliability and build quality this means that Mazda used cars are highly sort after and can now be located at Ringways Garages, York Road in Doncaster.

Mazda tops customer satisfaction.

Every 6 months the institute of customer service asks 26,000 people what they think of the service which they received from the Uk major organisations.

The highest scores were 88% in John Lewis and Waitrose with the lowest being 56% in the utilities sector.

Mazda scored a respectable 80.6% which was 5% higher than the industry standard of 75.6%.

The survey goes into some depth into customer satisfaction and is measured on:

  • overall quality of the product or service
  • being treated as a valued customer
  • speed of service
  • friendliness of staff
  • handling of problems and complaints
  • handling of enquiries
  • competence of staff
  • ease of doing business
  • being kept informed
  • helpfulness of staff

Not only does the survey cover the car industry it covers 150 companies within the financial, tourism, telecoms transport and automotive sectors. This means that Mazda offers a better level or customer service than BMW, Mercedes Benz and Toyota.

Steve Jelliss, Aftersales director for Mazda UK
‘ This survey result is a strong testament to the quality of our product, our customer service philosophy and the ability Mazda dealer across the nation to focus on what UK motorists want. Namely, delivering a professional level of service to ensure that Mazda ownership is a truly satisfaction experience’

The result of the survey does come at the right time for mazda, just as they are re-launch the mazda used car brand. We here at Ringways Motor Group offer a superior level of service on top of the service guide which we receive from the manufacturers. Our sales team go through daily sales meetings in order to keep our sales staff up to date on the most recent developments within Mazda but also within the industry as a whole.

  Leeds United Ladies are back!

From www.leedsunited.com

Ladies football is set to return under the umbrella of Leeds United.

Following a troubled campaign that almost saw Leeds Ladies disappear, Leeds United have stepped in to ensure senior women’s football will remain in the area.

Leeds United’s Football In The Community scheme will be heading up a new committee to oversee the running of the club.

And Leeds United CEO Shaun Harvey is hoping ladies football in the city will prosper again under new guidance.

“It was important that the Ladies team continued and prospered,” said Harvey.

“The main objective for the club has got to be to create opportunities for females from within the local community rather than create an ‘elite’ team made up of players from outside of the area.

“There should be a seamless progression from junior football to the Leeds United Girls Centre of Excellence through to senior football so those who wish to continue playing the game are able to.”

Leeds United’s Head of Football In The Community Mick Ferguson said: “I’d like to thank Leeds United for stepping in, and I’d also like to thank Steve Russell at Ringways for his continued support.”

Have you got the 'balls' to say no to stigma?

LUFC Balls

Have you got the 'balls' to say no to stigma?

Men can often struggle with being open about health issues, particularly mental health issues (Mind, 2010). Men are less likely to seek help than women. One in four of us at some point in our lives will suffer from mental ill-health. The stigma that surrounds mental health can be more daunting than the illness itself.

Time to Change is the nation’s biggest campaign to challenge the stigma that surrounds mental health. Here in Leeds the NHS, Ringways Motor Group and Leeds United Football Club are working together with local employers and members of the public to try and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health locally. We need your support. Help to dispel the stigma and encourage others to get the help they deserve. Help us to tackle one of the nations last lingering taboos. Pledge your support today. Go to www.stopstigma-leeds.com or text ‘involved’ to 80010

If you would like to find out more about the work being done here in Leeds come along to our event on Wednesday 12th May, 10am-4pm on Briggate, Leeds.

greenacre

Ringways are supporting students at King James's School with their project to build a new racing car. Impressed by the project and the enthusiasm of the students, Stephen Russell, Group Managing Director, has agreed to donate £500 towards funding the project and Ringways will also be providing the team with a van and fuel for race days.

King James's School has been chosen by The Royal Society, the UK's national academy of science, to receive a Partnership Grant that will enable local scientists and engineers to work with teachers to implement an innovative engineering project.

It is the only secondary school in Yorkshire to win funding in this round of awards.

The Racing to the Future scheme aims to build a brand new electric racing car to compete in the national Greenpower Challenge. Students from various year groups will take on the challenge of designing, building and racing a car in the four-hour endurance races. The teams are supplied with identical electric motors and batteries to ensure a level playing field. Heats are held all over the country in the summer, with the top 75 performing cars invited to race at the national final held at Goodwood Circuit in mid-October.

The teacher in charge of the project, Steve Hutchinson, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for us. It means we can build a new car from scratch with no compromises and the goal is to be right at the front at upcoming races.

Ringways Motor Group wins award for excellent customer care

7th October 2009

Ringways Leeds Ltd has set an excellent standard of customer service to West Yorkshire consumers over the last twelve months, and in recognition of their high standard of commitment to customer care, has been presented with a Trading Standards award from the Motor Trade Partnership.

Graham Hebblethwaite, Chief Officer of West Yorkshire Trading Standards Service said:   ‘In the current economic climate people need to feel reassured they are dealing with a reputable trader when parting with their hard earned cash. The excellent customer services offered by members such as Ringways should encourage consumers to shop with confidence.

In an industry where suspicion was particularly high and consumer expectations were low, the motor trade industry reputation had suffered for years at the hands of a minority of rogue traders. As a result the Motor Trade Partnership was set up to tackle the increasing number of consumer complaints in relation to car sales, servicing and repairs.

Leeds United chairman Ken Bates said: "We're delighted at the support Ringways have offered in recent years, and they have increased that by agreeing sponsorship of the new Vidiwall.

"We hope that the Vidiwall will enhance the matchday experience for all at Elland Road."

Ringways have been loyal business partners with Leeds United Football Club since the early 1970s.

Group Managing Director, Stephen Russell, is a life-long fan of the club and, like every other supporter, has long been frustrated by looking at a blank screen on match day.

Mr Russell commented on Ringways' sponsorship of the new screen: "We jumped at the opportunity to work with Ken and his team to deliver this outstanding media solution.

"The new screen will add so much value to the match-day experience for fans, and we are immensely proud to be the sponsor of it."

Ringways donate car to local Scally Rally team

The Scally Rally Road to Rimini is an annual event which sees mad motorists drive old bangers on their very last legs all the way from Calais to Rimini. The car must have cost rally teams no more than £100, and the aim is to get it round the 1300 route through France, the Swiss Alps and Italy.

‘Team Beer’: Paul Horne, Andrew Ramsden, Mark Senior and Jamie Lupton, all from Leeds, have entered themselves in to the Scally Rally challenge in a bid to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. Paul Horne’s father has suffered from the disease for the past ten years, and Paul can’t thank the Alzheimer’s Society enough for all the work they do and for the support the society have given his family.

Ringways Motor Group have lent their support by providing the team with a car fit for purpose. The car meets the Scally Rally rules by being ‘permanently scarred in some way’ but no expense has been spared in preparing the vehicle for the trip.

For 3 weeks listeners were invited to register online for the chance to Go Topless for summer with Real Radio and Ringways Motor Group, Leeds & Doncaster, then presenters started calling 5 people each day that had registered until both cars were won. When they answered the phone the listener had to say, exactly, the phrase; 'I want to go topless for summer with Real Radio.’ They could not say anything else before saying the catch phrase, not even 'hello' or they were out!. They also had to give the code that had been given out that hour. Then, and only then could they call themselves winners!.

First winner came on day three on The Breakfast show with Daryl Denham and Gayle Lofthouse on Wednesday 20th August. Helen Weldon from Brighouse won herself the Mazda MX5. Then nearly two and a half weeks later on the 2nd September the Ford Focus Cabriolet was won by Dawn Light from Morley on Ian Brannan's mid-afternoon show.

Tony McKenzie Programme Director at Real Radio said; “We had fantastic fun with the competition, our listeners really embraced the fun element and we were delighted to tie up with Ringways Motor Group.   Which? Awards - Mazda Car maker of the Year

In the commentary about Best Carmaker, Which? Magazine says:

"This is the first time Mazda has scooped our top honour of best carmaker. The Mazda3 and MX-5 are comfortable "Best Buys" - the smart-looking 3 stands out from humdrum medium cars and, for many, the MX-5 is the cheapest way into an entertaining sports car.

"It's been a good year for new car launches too - the all-new Mazda2 supermini and Mazda6 family car have both impressed us and look like becoming firm favourites with drivers. If we had more reliability data on these cars both would be "Best Buys" - but for that we'll have to wait.

"Mazda's models share much with the latest Fords but far better in most areas. The company ranks very highly for reliability - just behind Honda and Toyota and well ahead of the popular European marques. The only fly in the ointment is the so-so reliability of the Mazda5 - which detracts from this otherwise good value MPV."

Ringways Mazda Sponsors Future Stars of F1

Ringways Mazda has teamed up with Ridgewood School in Barnsley Road to construct the fastest Formula 1 car of the future.  The York Road dealership is providing financial backing for the school to take part in the "Formula 1 Technology Challenge", which tasks children across the world to design and manufacture a miniature racing car.

"The Formula 1 Technology Challenge is a fun initiative aimed at getting children interested in engineering as a career," explained Phil Wardle, dealer principal at Ringways Mazda.  "It’s a really exciting project which teaches the children a wide range of skills.  We were only too happy to sponsor the team from Ridgewood School, which is in our locality, and wish them every success."
The Ridgewood team consists of six Year 7 children aged 11- and 12-years-old.  They will research and design miniature CO2-powered racing cars using the same software programs as Formula 1 engineers. The aim is to make their scale F1 cars travel a 20‑meter distance in the quickest time possible.

If the team is successful at regional level, they will go on to the national finals at the Autosport International Racing Car Show at the NEC in Birmingham in January 2009.  The national winners will then represent their country at the ‘2009 F1 in Schools World Championships, which will be held alongside an international Formula 1 Grand Prix, in a bid to win the "Bernie Ecclestone World Championship Trophy".
