You probably already know that it's a good idea to switch your engine off when stuck in a queue or at traffic lights, but it's not always easy to remember to do so.
The Kuga features Auto-Start-Stop, which allows you to cut fuel consumption by as much as 10%. It automatically cuts power to the engine when you've stopped moving (but you're essentials will stay turned on, like your headlights, radio and air-conditioning). When you're ready to accelerate again, just select first gear (or press the accelerator in an automatic) as you usually would and the system restarts.
Driving on the open road is now easier than ever with the Kuga's Adaptive Cruise Control technology. Just set your preferred speed and the Cruise Control will maintain it. When it senses another vehicle up ahead, it will slow you down to keep a safe distance. If the road ahead clears again, Adaptive Cruise Control will return you to your preferred speed.
Tow bars can be incredibly useful, but only when you actually need them. Otherwise, they can get in the way. The tow bar on the Kuga is electrically releasable, allowing you to tuck it behind the bumper when you're not using it.
When the Kuga is towing something, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) ensures that the car and the trailer remain steady and don't sway.
"The Ford Kuga stands for quality and reliability. It’s also incredibly versatile, suited as much to the school run as it is to winding country roads. There are plenty of innovative touches which make the Kuga stand out from other similar cars in the category, like smart safety technologies and practical features designed to make driving safer and easier.
Despite being a 4 x 4, the Kuga cabin is pleasingly quiet even at full speed, allowing for a relaxing and stress-free driving experience."
